The voices of the Bruce Township taxpayers resonated at the Polls
leaving no doubt as to their feelings regarding the proposed increase
in taxes……NO NEW TAXES! I attended all three informational
meetings regarding this proposal and was not convinced that an extra
tax burden was warranted, especially during these difficult economic
    times.

Looks like the Bruce Township Board are out of touch with the residents of Bruce Township…it is no longer business as usual…NO NEW TAXES and less government interference in our lives is what is to be read into this vote.

  4. POLICE BALLOT LANGUAGE: Supervisor Tignanelli updated the Board on recent meetings between local municipalities with regard to police protection. Discussion was held regarding a perpetual millage, number of mills, election timing and Treasurer Obrecht’s objection to not waiting until November 2012 election. Motion by Tignanelli, support by Brockmann to approve the ballot language as amended changing perpetual to 4 years and placing the proposal on the February 28th, 2012 ballot.
