Kudos to Paul A. Heller
Mr. Heller wrote the following in “The Reader’s Viewpoint” section of The Romeo Observer. It’s great to see people engaged in what is really going on in this community.

Mr. Heller’s letter is filled with gross inaccuracies. I’d be more than happy to discuss the facts as it regards Bruce Township’s Sewer District, as I have a 28 year history and continue to stay involved because I am concerned about some of the mistakes the former board made. I am not happy leaving this legacy of debt but letters such as this should not be printed as facts. Please contact me if you want the truth and accurate figures.

Two years of “intense negotiations” between the Twin Brooks Board and two Bruce Township Officials ran amuck when a resident questioned items that the Twp. said they would do if Twin Brooks hooked up to the Twp. sewer system. A full court press to have the residents sign the S.A.D. was quite a coup. There were three items of concern which were brought up by a resident; she was vilified for questioning whether the Twp. would be able to make good on its offers. Unfortunately, the three offers the Twp. made were either pulled off the table, or figures “adjusted”, leaving the residents to pay more than what was presented to them. Failure by the Twin Brooks Board to do its due diligence has cost its residents dearly. Dismissing a resident’s concerns for nearly two years raises more concerns. Is cronyism coming into play now? One TB Board member has recently been appointed to the Review Board by the Twp. Supervisor. I predict that a second TB homeowner will soon be on the Bruce Township payroll. Smacks of cronyism to me.
